2020-07-09 Bought a cable modem.
The cable modem is for if you use a cable internet service, such as Comcast's Xfinity in USA.
This cable modem does only one thing, converting cable signal to internet signal. (and phone line signal) It does not function as router or wifi.
To have wifi, you need a wifi router.

ATT vs Comcast Xfinity
Since am moving into a new place, that's why am buying these for a new internet service.
In USA, usually you just have two choices. ATT, or Comcast Xfinity.
ATT offers two types of internet tech, ADSL and fiber optics. ADSL is using phone line for internet. ADSL is slow. Fiber optics is not avaible in most places.
Comcast Xfinity offers cable internet tech, which is internet transmitted via cableTV network. This is usually much faster.
I recommend Comcast. It's faster, and about the same price.
Also, i recommend you buy your own cable modem. Otherwise, you have to pay $10/month to rent theirs. With your own modem, you have much more control, and cheaper.
What is Xfinity Voice?
xfinity voice is a landline phone service by comcast but over cable.
What is DOCSIS?
DOCSIS is the standard for IP over cable.
